lovely stay at a proper pub

flagstone floor character feature friendly landlady motorhome stay
i was pre-warned in a very friendly way that it was fish friday. when i arrived i called in for an afternoon drink. i found that this is a proper pub with flagstone floors. it also has character features and good ales. i appreciated the friendly landlady, landlord & staff and friendly locals.
there was no wifi available , slightly inconvenient.

the fish & chips was excellent, it had lovely crisp thin batter on a large portion of fish. my scampi was also good. the pub was in full swing with lots of friendly, laughing, joking chatty locals, it was amazing!!!

Staff are very warm and friendly. the landlady was fantastic and friendly. the staff were helpful. the pub quiz was fun. I came last and was given a round of applause with a bag of chocolate buttons.

the bedroom was very cosy with big bedrooms. the location was really quiet. the cottage was independent and very spacious. i loved my room, it was perfect!!!

spider cobwebs no wifi
I booked this place and I wasnt happy with the state of my room. There were many spider cobwebs up on the ceiling. Plus, the room didn't have WiFi. I don't think I will be coming back.

Excellent Stay Near St Ives

friendly staff large room great location
I stayed in the converted barn. It was right next to the pub. The room was quite large. I found the staff friendly. The location is a big plus.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. The shower area needed attention.

I had dinner the night before since I had to leave early to go to Scilly. Breakfast boxes were supplied. Dinner was VERY good!!! The food was reasonably priced.

The staff were cute, and the full English breakfast I had was alright.
The room was not the cleanest I have seen. There was quite a bit of dampness and some spiders. I only managed one shower because the hot water ran out

charming stay near st ives

friendly host lovely breakfast gorgeous view
the hosts were very friendly and helpful. breakfast tasted lovely. i enjoyed a great view of the countryside and even saw some piggies. i stayed here while attending a wedding in st ives and it was a short taxi ride away.
i noticed some cobwebs in the bedroom i think this could be improved with a more thorough cleaning.

the food in the pub was very good. the pub has a pleasant convivial atmosphere it reminded me of a cute place to have a meal. i found that the food tasted delicious and was worth the price.
