Adequate stay with some drawbacks

friendly staff excellent service parking situation steep hill
The staff was very friendly (i loved that). The breakfast had good choices, and the service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The parking situation was a NIGHTMARE. There was nowhere nearby to park the car. The nearest available car park was a ten minute walk down a steep hill (i wasn't thrilled about that).

missing furniture dismissive staff
the family suite i booked was a bit of a letdown , especially since it didn't quite match the pictures online. one room was fine , but the other seemed like an afterthought , lacking basic furniture like a headboard or bedside tables. it reminded me of a completely different room , and to top it off , it was missing a door. when i mentioned it , the staff seemed a bit dismissive , blaming it on the website pictures being just a 'general indication'.

the room i booked (beautiful twin room) was not the one shown in the pictures. it was old, with a side street view instead of the river view i expected. the carpet seemed worn, and there was a distinct smell of previous dogs. i also found a cracked mirror in the room.
