The Old Mill House is often described as a beautiful country house, some guests particularly appreciate the garden with its stream. Many find the breakfast superb, with the Bistro also earning praise for excellent meals. Rooms are generally considered comfortable and some, like the Miller's Room, are spacious; although a few guests have noted issues such as the lack of a shower or difficulties with shower temperature control in certain rooms, the church opposite the hotel is worth visiting.

The breakfast was very good. I especially appreciated the fresh milk supplied. The room was quite nice, and it was definitely clean. The owners seemed very helpful and pleasant.
I noticed some road noise. It was not too much, though. My room, the King Room Garden View, only had a bath and no shower. The bath was not particularly user-friendly.

Acceptable stay with some drawbacks

excellent breakfastcharming dining roomamazing gardenroom mistakegloomy roomdangerous shower
i found the breakfast to be excellent with many choices. the dining room was quite charming. the garden was amazing and i could relax there for hours.
i was told upon arrival that our booked room had been given to someone else by mistake. i was moved to a gloomy second floor room instead of the light and airy first floor room i booked. the shower was inadequate and dangerous, it gave only very cold or scaldingly hot water.

road noiseunstable shower
our room, the classic double room church view, wasnt great. the road noise was worse than they let on. i could barely sleep with constant cars and trucks, a real pain. i spoke to someone at the front desk and they acted like i was making it up. no apology, no solution, just a shrug.
