Family-run Victorian guest house in Truro with free private parking and one of the loveliest gardens in England

Cliftons Guest House is a family-run Victorian villa less than a 10-minute walk from Truro city centre. The historic estate is set within landscaped gardens and has one of the loveliest gardens in England, with a sun terrace and outdoor furniture. Free private parking is available on-site, and the property is a non-smoking facility with a designated outdoor smoking area.

An Okay Stay

limited buffet stale pastries

The lack of soundproofing was a real issue. I could hear everything happening in the hallway and adjacent rooms. This made it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep. the breakfast buffet seemed a bit limited. The pastries was stale and the fruit selection was sparse. I expected a bit more variety and freshness considering what I paid.

I found the room very lovely, equipped with armchairs near the window (it was perfect. The facilities in the room met all my needs. The breakfast included plenty of choice and tasted delicious.
