The breakfasts included a wide choice, it was superb. I found the food was always hot and of good quality, with very good portions. The staff proved very friendly and helpful..
The limited parking immediately in front of the hotel proved a slight inconvenience. I had to use the shared pub car park across the main road.

a lovely hotel!

cornish teaefficient attitudevegan curry
The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The cornish tea and biscuits added a nice touch. breakfast was cooked to order and offered plenty of choice. angela managed the breakfast service with a friendly and efficient attitude, even when dealing with challenging customers. i found its canal path location to be very convenient to the town centre.
the vegan curry i ordered was just nice. nothing stood out, and there was nothing to complain about either, so it was a middle-of-the-road mark for this particular visit.

The breakfasts were very good. The food was always hot and good quality.
Our room was right above the bar. Noise from a wedding lasted until around 1 AM. People smoked right below our windows. We had to close them to avoid the smell of cigarettes. It prevented a quiet getaway.

Wonderful Hotel Experience!

attentive stafflocally sourced foodample wardrobemissing refrigerator
The staff were very attentive. Breakfast included locally sourced food and tasted excellent! The room had a nice view of the garden, canal, and even the sea far away. I also appreciated the ample wardrobe. Drawer space suited for longer stays.
The hotel did not have an ice machine. I also did not have a refrigerator in my room. This was somewhat inconvenient. Getting water from the bar required waiting for it to open at specific hours.

The secret garden provides a lovely space for serving pizza. The bar is nicely decorated with a great selection of drinks. This creates a cute atmosphere. I found the parking available right outside very convenient.

the staff were helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. we brought our border collie along, and it was nice to have a dog friendly hotel. he even got his own bed and water bowls in the room, and they gave him a sausage for breakfast. he was allowed in the bar area while we ate.
probably only SLIGHT drawback was the room was too hot when we got there.
