the pub had a lovely, very cosy atmosphere. i found the food to be first class, offering good value for the price. also, i appreciated that the accommodation was set back from the main road, so the traffic didn't bother me.
The room felt quite small and a bit cool upon arrival. the milk provided in the corridor fridge had a brackish smell. I had to purchase my own.

my king room was comfortable and well-equipped for my visit. an outside terrace provided extra space for relaxation. the room size was adequate for two people, with a very comfortable large double bed, and a well-equipped bathroom.

the breakfast was hot, plentiful, and included lots of choice. the restaurant food was very good, and the evening menu offered excellent dishes. the tomahawk for two is a must, and the mushrooms have a wild garlic crumb that's AMAZING!!!

a quiet getaway
comfortable bedspacious roomheating issue
the superior double room was very spacious, the bed proving really comfortable. i also found the restaurant cozy, and the food tasted quite good. breakfast offered enough options and was plentiful, which i found really convenient when starting my day.
the milk provided for tea had a brackish smell, and i needed to buy my own. also, i found the room quite cold upon arrival and struggled to resolve the heating issue, and eventually i had to change rooms, which wasnt great.

the accommodation is located at the back of the hotel, a factor i considered a plus because it reduced the noise coming from the main road. parking was free, this made arrival and departure easier.

The food was amazing and i loved the homemade bread. the staff were very friendly. They were helpful too. the location is great for visiting wadebridge and padstow. it is also good for enjoying the camel cycle route.
the room, while clean, felt a bit dated and could use some updating.
