clean room comfortable decoration friendly staff hard egg dry chicken slow service

The room (21) was clean. It was comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout EVERY aspect of the hotel!!!

The food arrived promptly HOWEVER a hard fried egg was on the dry chicken scallop!! I am not sure what that was all about. Steak pies were full of meat and VERY tasty.

informative displays big room peaceful atmosphere great sleep

i loved the museum with its informative displays it really brought the history to life i also appreciated the big room i had in the daphne du maurier suite it was worth the money i was so excited about all the information available in the room i slept soundly because it was dark quiet and peaceful there.

the bed was somewhat uncomfortable and the pillows felt a little flat that's the only slight inconvenience .

understaffed and underwhelming

slow service warm food

i encountered problems during my meal. the service was slow. it took nearly thirty minutes to get a menu. then, i waited almost ninety minutes for my main course. the food was just warm when it finally arrived. duty manager kate handled the situation well, but the understaffing was unacceptable.

whirring noise air conditioning

the room overlooked the moor. it was fabulous!

the room was too hot. i found a fan in the wardrobe, but i did not want to listen to its noise all night.
