The room i had felt quite dated. Some things clearly needed replacing. it was a dog-friendly room, i understand, but the carpet and sofa could have been cleaner. i noticed quite a bit of filth behind the bed since it wasn't flush against the wall. also, i missed having milk in the room. It was a small inconvenience.

i found the location to be less than three miles from where i needed to be. emily offered a very warm welcome upon arrival. dinner and breakfast were both of high quality with superb service.

the standard king room included a king-size bed with quality linens and blackout curtains, which ensured a restful sleep. a work desk with accessible power outlets was also included, very helpful for business travellers. the room featured individual climate control for personalized comfort

the menu included a variety of dishes. i tried the steak pie in suet pastry. it featured chunks of beef in gravy inside a delicious pastry. the chips were tasty as well

a decidedly average stay
peeling painthaphazard cleaning
The room felt somewhat neglected. paint was peeling in corners. more annoying was the haphazard cleaning. I discovered a previous guest's sock UNDER the bed, which, frankly, raises questions about their attention to detail. it really left an unfavorable impression, and honestly, it's not difficult to do a thorough clean.

The breakfast team was really good. The chef paid great attention to detail. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The menu offered a good variety of dishes.
There was no indicator of the kitchen closure time, so we missed ordering food by two minutes.

The location worked well. It supported our plan to stay a few nights. We also explored nearby attractions, namely St Ives and St Michael's Mount for sightseeing and other recreational activities.
