Historic Architecture

Trenython Manor Resort occupies a Victorian mansion built in 1872 by an Italian architect commissioned by General Garibaldi. The entrance hall displays Egyptian pillars originating from the Temple of Ephesus, along with General Wolf's Headboard and Lord Nelson's Sea Chest. The dining room features carved oak panels and Italian marbles sent by Garibaldi, now visible in the restaurant.

excellent pool dining room heavy sash windows basic menu

The pool was excellent. I noted it was well kept. I also appreciated the excellent breakfast. There was a lot of choice. The dining room impressed me with its aesthetic appeal. The food available also tasted good.

The windows in the room barely opened, and it felt a bit difficult to operate them, as they were heavy sash windows.

lodge comfort!

spacious lodge well-equipped kitchen private spacing well-kept grounds

the lodge we booked was surprisingly spacious and well-equipped. it included large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sofa bed, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. lodges are nicely spaced, providing privacy, and the grounds are well maintained. we used the lodge as a base for a family wedding.

having to pre-book swimming pool slots felt a little restrictive.

The breakfast offered many options, including fresh fruit, pastries, and hot dishes. Service was efficient and attentive. the dining room provided a relaxed atmosphere with lovely views of the grounds. It made for an enjoyable start to the day. the food was AMAZING!!!

Really good Lodge Stay!

The lodge we occupied felt expansive with facilities that enhanced our visit. It was also very clean. The free pool, sauna, and hot tub added real value. I plan to return for a longer stay in Cornwall!

The new computer system seemed to cause some delays! It meant slow service at the bar, particularly when ordering drinks and water.

Our renovated room included great facilities and felt beautiful. It was also very large. The bathroom came equipped with two walk-in showers. This was quite unexpected! The room also included good breakfast.

spacious room attentive service

i appreciated the spaciousness of my double room sea view. it had ample room to relax. Breakfast offered a substantial selection of both hot and cold items, it included vegetarian options. The staff provided prompt and attentive service during my meal.

mixed feelings about the stay.

bland full english poor presentation

the hotel grounds were lovely. the swimming pool kept my children entertained.

The food was really disappointing. i had expected a delicious breakfast but the full english was bland and cold. The eggs were solid not poached as i had ordered. the evening meal was not much better, with limited options and the duck was not prepared well, the presentation looked poor. you had to pay every time we ordered drinks. It was impossible to run a tab.
