Review summary

The Lewinnick Lodge is often described as a beautiful hotel in a stunning cliffside location, with spacious rooms featuring large windows and amazing sea views. Guests particularly enjoy the large, comfortable beds and the option for relaxing baths while overlooking the ocean. The restaurant is a highlight for many, serving delicious breakfast and offering a menu where the salt and pepper squid and prawns have received mixed reviews-some finding them bland. From the hotel, the coastal path provides easy access for walks, and you might even spot seals from your window.

the room was clean and well-kept, acceptable.
The extractor fan noise from the kitchen below room 10 was a real disturbance. it persisted until 11 pm and then started again at 7 am, i could barely sleep. also, the food seemed overpriced. The prawn cocktail and caesar salad lacked quality.

the receptionist gave us a warm welcome and shared great insights about the area.. she even booked a dinner table for us. our superior partial sea view double had very nice coastal views. the room design was beautiful, with a walk-in shower, bathtub, and his & hers vanity.
i think privacy screens in the rooms are needed. there seemed no need for all the dogs in the bar.

underwhelming experience

noisy extractor fanoverpriced food
The room above the kitchen extractor fan was quite noisy. It ran until late and started again early. i found the food selection a bit overpriced for what it was. the prawn cocktail and caesar salad didn't quite hit the mark. They felt a little bland and not worth the cost.

I must state I found the food quality disappointing given the hotel's high rating. The prawn cocktail I ordered lacked flavor. the Caesar salad was substandard.

i stayed for three nights. the ocean view was amazing from my superior oceanside double. the room included a comfy bed and nice amenities. the location gave easy access to walking paths, i liked that a lot.
breakfast service felt slow. there was a long wait, even though the restaurant wasn't full. the outside area looked a little messy. i saw glasses and plates left on tables for too long, which wasn't great.
